I occasionally see people at the beach trying to take these kinds of pictures for their Facebook profile or what not. But, it never occurred to me that this would have anything to do with what we are learning in Physics. When I saw this picture it reminded me about the example shown in class with George the monkey. In physics terms, when you flip your hair, the water droplets accelerate upward, stops completely, and accelerates downward.
